How do I register a team?

Self-registration allows a team captain to set up a team upon registration which will then qualify them and anyone who then joins that team to receive an automatic 10% off their initial registration fee, no link required.

Once the team is created, other participants can join the team by selecting the team name when registering.

There is no maximum limit to the number of participants that can be in a team.

Team members may run any distance of their choice.

If you would like to create a team, but don’t plan on participating, you can still do this. Click ENTER NOW to start the registration process. You will be taken to the registration page, just scroll to the end of the page and select ‘Non-Participating Team Captain’ and you’ll be able to set up your team.

 

Are there medals?

Yes, every finisher of the 7Rocky River Run will receive a medal.

What size shirts are available and do you have the measurements?

The 2025 7Rocky River Run sublimated shirts are available in these sizes.

Our staff would like to participate in the run, how can our company pay for a group entry?

When you register for the event (either to participate or as a non-participating team captain), you just need to create a team and opt to ‘Pre-pay for team members’, it’s as simple as that! But feel free to contact us if you need any assistance with this.

Will my run be timed?

Yes, your run will be timed and results will be published online.

What if I wish to change my event?

TRANSFERS TO ANOTHER DISTANCE

Transfers of distance are subject to availability. If a distance is sold out there will be no transfers available to that distance

Before midday Monday, 7 April 2025 you can transfer up or down a distance online. Details are on our TRANSFERS page.

After midnight Monday 21 April 2025,  you can transfer to go up or down in distance, but you must do this in person at Registration.

Registration is at Customs House, 208 Quay Street Rockhampton on Saturday 17 May between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm. Details are on our TRANSFERS page.

TRANSFERS TO ANOTHER PERSON

Transfers to another person must be within the same distance. If the new participant wants to change distance also, then they must do that in a separate step (see above).

Before midnight on Monday, 7 April 2025 transfers to another person can be done online. Details are on our TRANSFERS page.

After midnight Monday, 7 April 2024 you can still transfer to another person however you (or the person you are transferring to) must do this in person at Registration

What is the cancellation policy?

The following refund fees are applicable for cancellations, depending on when the request is received.

  • 75% up to 4pm, 18 February 2025
  • 50% up to 4pm, 18 March 2025
  • 25% up to 4pm, 18 April 2025

What are the minimum age requirements?

21k Half Marathon

14 years

10k Race

11 years

5k Race

7 years

2k Race

4 years

Entrants under the age of 7 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Parents not entered in another race must pay entry to run with their child. Parents already entered in another race do not need to pay entry to run with their child. Please leave on your race bib to show you are a registered participant. You will not receive a time in the second distance.

Are prams permitted?

Prams are permitted (for safety reasons please start from the back of the field) in all events. Children within prams (under 4) are free. If you would like the child to receive their own medal please register them as a separate entrant.

Please note, for safety reasons, children on bikes and scooters are not permitted in any race.

When can I collect my race number?

Saturday 17 May, 9am-4pm

2k and 5k runners can collect race packs on Sunday morning 7am - 8:15am at Customs House. Please note, no late entries will be accepted on race day.

 

Is there somewhere to leave my bag during the race?

Bag drop will be available at Customs House, Quay Street, from 5.30am on Sunday morning. Please attach the tear off strip from your race number and attach it to your bag so we can identify your belongings. We do not advise leaving valuables.

Can I enter on the day?

No, you can not enter on the day for the 7Rocky River Run.

What is included in my entry fee?

  • Race bib (personalised up until 7 April 2025)
  • Timing tag
  • Finishers medal
  • Event Tee-shirt (subject to availability. Guaranteed to first 2200 entrants)
  • Free fruit and electrolyte drinks at our recovery station

 

Will you post out my race bib?

Your race Bib can be mailed to you. Just select the “Bib Postage” option during Registration.

If you forgot to choose that option you still can via the MyActive web portal. The steps are:

  1. Log in to you Active account here.
  2. Find our event and select Purchase Merchandise.
  3. You will be able to add Bib Postage to your entry. The fee to mail out your Bib is $12 plus a small processing fee.

You will receive your Bib in the mail on or before Thursday 15 May 2025. If you have not received your bib by this date, please come and see us at Registration at Customs House.

Please note Bib postage is offered up until midnight Monday 7 April 2025. After that time, we cannot offer to post your Bib to you, and you must collect your bib from Registration at the event precinct.

I opted for bib postage, how do i collect my free event tee?

If you registered for an event that is eligible for a FREE EVENT TEE, you will need to collect this from Registration at Customs House on Sunday 18 May.  No merchandise will be mailed out prior to or after the event.
