“Ronald McDonald House Charities and CQShines Foundation will be the charity recipients for the event this year. Both organisations have a fantastic track record of supporting families and individuals in need, and we are proud to be able to support their ongoing efforts through this event,” Mayor Williams said.
Chair of Parks, Sport and Public Spaces, Councillor Cherie Rutherford is proud that the 7Rocky River Run has something for everyone, with race options including a half marathon, 10km, 5km, and 2km race. Participants can choose to run or walk, and all are encouraged to fundraise for the chosen charities.
“The event has become a staple on the Central Queensland sporting calendar, with runners and walkers from across the region and beyond taking part. The event has grown year on year, and we are proud to be able to support such fantastic charities in the process” Councillor Rutherford said.
