Now in its 16th year Rockhampton’s largest annual charity running event will be held on Sunday, 19 May 2024 with over $2,500 in prize money up for grabs in the 21km, 10km and 5km races.

Rockhampton Region Mayor Tony Williams said whether you’re a competitive participant or not, the 7Rocky River Run is one of the greatest fundraisers on the events calendar in Central Queensland.

“We know there are so many keen participants out there and the event has rightfully earned a reputation as one of our most popular sporting events,” Mayor Williams said.

“Registrations for this year’s race have surpassed our expectations, with the 21km Half Marathon already reaching full capacity and all other distances close to selling out. To secure your spot in your preferred race distance, we urge everyone to register before Early Bird pricing ends on Sunday 5 May with entries starting from as low as $25.

“Whether you’re a competitive runner vying for a new personal best, or if you just want to grab some friends for a fun team challenge, it’s always a great morning out.”

Advance Rockhampton Tourism and Events Manager Zac Garven said 7Rocky River Run showcases our stunning river views and bridge crossings with the race start and finish in front of our historic Customs House.

“The 7Rocky River Run is the largest charity run in Central Queensland and we are encouraging locals to invite friends and family to visit Rockhampton and compete in one of our most popular sporting events.

Advance Rockhampton Tourism and Events Manager, Zac Garven, said as the largest charity running event in Central Queensland, 7Rocky River Run is proud to support Fitzroy Community Hospice (FCH) as the charity recipient for 2024.
